DIVINE PROVIDENCE HOME
Located in Ogoja, Nigeria, Divine Providence Home (DPH) is a safe-haven for orphaned children and children experiencing poverty. The home was established in 2007 by Sister Mary Rita Abang of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus - a Catholic order founded by the Sisters of Charity.
Sister Rita established the orphanage to provide shelter for the homeless children in the town severly affected by the AIDS epidemic. DPH receives no government assistance and is completely reliant on donations made to the Okaja Foundation in order to keep its doors open.
